Why Are You Still Tolerating That Frustration? Take Charge of Your Life!
Hey {{ first_name }}!
You know that feeling when someone walks into the room - or their name pops up on your phone - and you're already exhausted? Before they've said a single word, something in you just braces for impact. And then you spend the rest of the interaction managing yourself, managing them, managing the dynamic, and by the time it's over you feel like you ran a marathon without going anywhere.
Or maybe it's a recurring meeting you used to show up to with something to contribute, and somewhere along the way you stopped believing it mattered. You leave every single time feeling deflated, you've raised the same concern month after month, and at this point you're not sure why you keep saying anything at all — so you've started going quiet instead.
Most people just accept that this is just how it is. They've tried to change it before, it didn't stick, and somewhere along the way they started believing the dynamic isn't changeable - they feel helpless - that this is who that person is, this is how they respond, and there's nothing left to do but survive it.
Those are BIG HUGE energy leaks!
And there's a pattern underneath that dynamic that nobody has addressed yet. Sometimes that pattern belongs to them. A lot of the time, it belongs to both of you. And the only one you have any power over is yours.
Here's what I've seen in my coaching work, over and over again: the people who are most drained are the ones who have gotten really skilled at absorbing what isn't theirs to carry in the first place. They've learned to function through it, work around it, push past it. And because they're functioning, they never stop long enough to ask what's actually driving it. So it never ends...it just keeps happening.
That's really sad!
There's a real difference between tolerating a frustration and actually addressing it. Tolerating keeps you in the frustration loop. Addressing breaks that loop apart.
When you actually do the root cause work - when you get honest about what the dynamic is triggering in you, what need is going unmet, what boundary hasn't been set - something shifts. Not overnight, and not without some discomfort. But the exhaustion starts to lift. The bracing stops. You stop showing up to certain meetings and relationships already half-empty.
That's the work I'm most passionate about. And if you've been feeling it lately, I want you to know it doesn't have to be permanent. There's a way out.
If you're ready to dig into what's underneath it, the Becoming Bold Bootcamp was built for exactly this. Week 1 is available to try for free right now - link below if you want to check it out.
